What was built

Core architecture & features

Dynamic client intake portal

Secure upload of passports, police records and civil certificates, with automatic file-format and expiry validation.

Relational petition tracking

A normalised schema mapping applicants to multi-stage petition categories — family, employment, student, investor/EB-5.

Milestone & deadline engine

Scheduled alerts for biometric appointments, embassy interviews and Request-for-Evidence (RFE) windows.

Multi-role access control

Strict RBAC separating internal paralegals, senior attorneys and outside applicants.

Audit trails & security

Encrypted document storage, access logging and archived client communications.

Automated document generation

Single-entry data flows into USCIS/consular forms, cover letters and exhibit indexes.

The senior-engineer advantage

Why a code-backed platform beats a generic no-code app

Immigration work is high-stakes and document-heavy. That needs real engineering, not a template.

  • Custom PDF byte-stream manipulation to fill official USCIS forms reliably — not screenshots or flat exports
  • Encrypted document storage at rest, with access control and logging for sensitive applicant records
  • Database normalization — applicants mapped to petitions and stages, so the data stays correct at scale
  • Automated webhooks and a deadline engine, so RFE and biometric dates are never tracked by memory
  • Role-based access control and audit trails built in, not bolted on
The impact

What it changed for the firm

~70% faster

Cut client intake and onboarding time by around 70% with checklist-driven collection.

Zero missed

No missed filing deadlines, thanks to automated alerts for RFEs, biometrics and interviews.

No per-seat fees

Eliminated recurring per-user SaaS licensing ($80–$160 / user / month).

FAQ

Immigration platform questions, answered

Is client immigration data kept private and encrypted?

Yes — documents are stored encrypted at rest on your own infrastructure (private cloud or dedicated database), with access logging and role-based access. Sensitive applicant records never sit on a shared vendor server.

Who can see what — how does access control work?

Strict role-based access control (RBAC) separates internal paralegals, senior attorneys and outside applicants, so each role only sees the cases and documents they should.

Do you own the server and the data?

Yes — this is a custom, owned system. It runs on your infrastructure, so you keep full control of your data and avoid recurring per-seat SaaS licensing.

What happens when USCIS updates its forms?

Form editions change periodically. The platform is built so form templates and mappings can be swapped and re-mapped when a new edition releases, and I offer ongoing maintenance to keep them current.

How long does it take to launch?

It depends on scope — an intake portal and core tracking can go live in a few weeks; a full multi-stage platform with form automation is a phased build. You get a clear roadmap and fixed milestones up front.
