It identifies the caller type within the first 30 seconds — true dental emergency, post-treatment concern, or new-patient lead — gives immediate safety guidance for anything urgent, checks live availability through the clinic's booking system, and emails a booking link only after strict, step-by-step email verification. It handles English and Spanish, follows tight guardrails so it never confirms an unverified booking or sends a text, and captures full details for a morning callback whenever a slot can't be booked live. The challenge
A walk-in dental clinic in Tampa, Florida was losing after-hours calls — patients in pain, post-treatment worries and new-patient enquiries all came in once the office closed, and an unanswered call meant a lost patient (and, for emergencies, a real safety risk).
