Overview
AI reads, scores and shortlists inbound applications so recruiters only see the best fits. I built an n8n workflow that ingests applications from email and forms, uses OpenAI to parse each CV against the job's must-haves, scores and summarises the candidate, and writes a ranked shortlist to Airtable — auto-sending polite rejections to clear non-fits. Built with n8n, OpenAI, Airtable, Gmail API, this ai automation project was delivered for a client in UK and designed for reliability, a clean user experience and long-term maintainability — so it keeps delivering value well after launch.
The challenge
A recruitment team drowned in hundreds of CVs per role, spending days on first-pass screening before ever talking to a candidate.
