An internal AI assistant that answers staff questions from company docs, right inside Slack. I built a Slack bot backed by a RAG system: company documentation is embedded into Pinecone, and OpenAI answers questions with citations to the source doc. It lives in Slack, so staff just ask in plain language and get accurate, sourced answers instantly. Built with Slack API, OpenAI, Pinecone, n8n, this ai chatbot project was delivered for a client in Worldwide and designed for reliability, a clean user experience and long-term maintainability — so it keeps delivering value well after launch.
The challenge
Employees constantly pinged colleagues for answers already buried in policies, wikis and past threads — interrupting work and giving inconsistent answers.
